This fleece is from Tom - a very lively young wether lamb. His wool is  velvet-y soft and a mid blue-grey slate colour. Staple 13cm. Very little vm. 1.15
 
I have finally got round to sorting out the lambs fleeces. We always shear the lambs in September/October as otherwise their wool becomes long and matted. It also means that the first wool - that is so soft - can be used. These fleeces are from October 2025 and are the 'first clip' from these lambs. Each lamb has been sheared by Henry, our Farm Manager, who takes to make as few second cuts as possible. 
 
Please note this fleece is loose and is suitable for spinning, felting or peg-loom weaving.
